  OUR  GAME  ROOM

Michael enjoys buying, selling and repairing arcade games, so our game room is always being updated with new games.

Currently, we have 3 Pinball Machines: Bally "Flash Gordon" (Michael's favorite), Stern "Stars", and Bally "Power Play", and 5 Arcade Games: "Dragon Spirit" (Sue's favorite), "Thunder Blade (Adam's favorite)", "Power Drift",
"Terminator 3" and "Silkworm".

Our game room also has an antique coin-op pool table, electronic dart board, antique pay phone, and Pepsi pop machine (which is always stocked with Diet Coke for Sue, Pepsi for Michael, and Dr. Pepper for Adam. Amanda drinks anything)..

Come over anytime
you want to play!

Michael restored all of these games.  Some needed only minor repairs, some needed a lot more work.

The "Flash Gordon" pinball machine (2nd game from the left) needed a LOT of work.  In addition to electronic work, the playfield had to be completely repainted by hand. The "Powerplay" pinball machine (far right) has a Chicago Blackhawk theme.  Michael modified the game to play the '70s Blackhawk theme song when you get a free game or high score.

The slot machine (far right) pays-out about $125 when you hit the jackpot.  To date, Amanda has the most wins.  Our rule is, if you use your own money to play you get to keep the winnings.

Michael won this one-of-a-kind Corvette custom guitar made by Washburn at an "Air Guitar" contest.  That's where you don't actually play, but you look like a goof trying.  Hey, for a free guitar, why not?

This is our antique coin-operated pool table.  It was manufactured by Valley Pool Tables of Wisconsin in 1967.  There are a lot of coin-operated things in our game room.

This is our working pay phone.  Michael bought it at a garage sale in pieces and restored it.  When you lift the handle, the "Phone" sign it above lights-up.
Have you noticed all the  "Speed Racer" cartoon memorabilia?

This is our 1970s Pepsi machine.  At our house it only cost 25 cents for a can of pop (or an ice-cold beer) - you decide!
